China Vanke August sales more than double

China Vanke Co.s property sales in August more than doubled from a year earlier to 11.99 billion yuan ($1.76 billion), a record monthly performance for a Chinese property developer. Vanke, the countrys largest property company by market share, said in a statement Thursday (September 2, 2010) it boosted sales from 4.82 billion yuan a year earlier by selling smaller units and timing its property launches ahead of an expected increase in supply during the next few months.
