Constuction Continues On Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed RailwayBEIJING, CHINA-DECEMBER 12:(CHINA OUT) Labors work in the reinforcement at the site of the Beijing Section of Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway on December 12, 2009 in Beijing, China. The express railway, 1,318Km in length, which connects China\'s two important economic zones \'Bohai Sea Rim\' and \'Yangtze River Delta\', will be completed and operational next year. As the first express railway that comes up to world standard, the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed railway costs 220.9 billion yuan(about $32 billion USD) and posses the most technical investments amid China\'s rail construction.
