Harold Dow 1947-2010 CBS CorrespondentAug 21, 2010 - New Jersey, U.S. - HAROLD DOW (September 28, 1947 - August 21, 2010), 62, CBS five-time Emmy winner, journalist, investigative reporter and a correspondent for 48 Hours since 1988, died suddenly from complications related to asthma at a New Jersey hospital on Saturday. Dow joined CBS News in 1972, first as a broadcast associate, then as a correspondent with their Los Angeles Bureau while with KCOP-TV. Dow reported on the return of POWs from Vietnam and the kidnapping of Patricia Hearst, with whom he had an exclusive interview in December 1976.
