Nasdaq-listed Hurray! Holding renamed Ku6 Media

Holding Co. announced that it was renamed Ku6 Media Co. on August 17, making it the first Chinese online video portal to list overseas, after the successful completion of a backdoor listing. Chinese online game company Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. has become Ku6s controlling shareholder after a series of share swap deals. Li Shanyou, founder of Ku6.com, holds 10 percent of the company stake. In June 2009, Shanda acquired a 51 percent controlling stake in Hurray! for US$ 46.2 million. Four months later, Hurray! took over video portal Ku6.com through a share swap.
