Participants at a vigil in Wilton Manors carry photos from the Gay American Heroes Foundation (GAFH) to honor those killed in hate crimes. The organization was remembering Courtney Bright, a 24 year old lesbian from Polk County who was strangled recently by her girlfriend's father. GAFH is a national organization whose goal it is to build a national, traveling''Rainbow Memorial'' to honor and remember all those who have been murdered on the basis of their sexual orientation and to educate and raise awareness of hate crimes. 5/10/10.
